Why do I need to establish a new username and password?

Answer: 

We're eliminating the need to use your SSN or TIN to access your account portfolio. Your SSN/TIN will only be requested during registration. After registration, you will only need to enter your USER ID and Password to access your account online going forward.

What are the password requirements?

Answer:

Please create your new password keeping the following rules in mind:

  • Must be a minimum of 8 characters in length
  • Must contain 1 upper-case letter
  • Must contain a combination of letters, numbers or special characters (&,%, *, etc.)
  • Spaces are not permitted

I receive an error: "Invalid Inputs" when trying to Register.

Answer:

Users trying to register for the first time will see this message when the Social Security Number (SSN) or Tax Identification Number (TIN) does not match the Account Number.

 

I receive an error: "Invalid Fund Number or Account ID" when trying to Register.

Answer:

Users trying to register for the first time will see this message when the Social Security Number (SSN) or Tax Identification Number (TIN) matches the Account Number but the Fund Number does not match the Account Number.

 

I registered for Account Access but when I try to access my account, I receive an error: "Your login was not successful. Please try again."

Answer:

This could be one of several issues:

1) When you register for Account Access for the first time, before you can access the website, you need to verify your e-mail address.  Please check the e-mail of the account you registered with and click on the 'Activation' link from SunAmerica Mutual Funds.  If you continue to experience problems accessing your account, contact Shareholder Services at (800) 858-8850, option 5 Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern Time.

 

2) Your Username may be locked.  Each user has (5) attempts to access their account.  If a user does not enter the correct username and password combination after 5 attempts, for security reasons, the Username is locked.  You can unlock your Username by contacting Shareholder Services at (800) 858-8850, option 5 Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern Time.

 

I am trying to reset my password and I receive an error: "We were unable to access your information. Please try again."

Answer:

This could be for one of several reasons:

1) Your Username is not confirmed.  When you register for Account Access for the first time, before you can access the website, you need to verify your e-mail address.  Please check the e-mail of the account you registered with and click on the 'Activation' link from SunAmerica Mutual Funds.  If you continue to experience problems accessing your account, contact Shareholder Services at (800) 858-8850, option 5 Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern Time.

2) Your Username is locked. Each user has (5) attempts to access their account.  If a user does not enter the correct username and password combination after 5 attempts, for security reasons, the Username is locked and you cannot reset your password.  You can unlock your Username by contacting Shareholder Services at (800) 858-8850, option 5 Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern Time.  Once your Username is unlocked, you can reset your password.

 

When I try to create my Username, I receive an error: "Username already exists".

Answer:

If you already registered for Account Access and you cannot access the account:

1) When you register for Account Access for the first time, before you can access the website, you need to verify your e-mail address.  Please check the e-mail of the account you registered with and click on the 'Activation' link from SunAmerica Mutual Funds.  If you continue to experience problems accessing your account, contact Shareholder Services at (800) 858-8850, option 5 Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern Time.

 

2) If you have never registered for account access, the Username is already taken by another user.  Please create a unique Username. 

 

Where can I find my Account Number or Fund Number?

Answer:

While your Account Number will be included in account-related correspondence sent to you by SunAmerica Mutual Funds, it may appear in varying formats due to the nature of the underlying computer system. In some cases, your Account Number may include additional digits, with or without hyphen breaks, that are not part of the actual Account Number. If these additional digits are included when you register for online account access, your request will not be processed and you will receive an error message.

Your Account Number is located on your quarterly statements. it will have maximum of 10 digits.

 

Why do I need to establish a Password Reset Question?

Answer:

In order to reset a disabled or forgotten password in the future, choose a Reset Password question and enter the answer below. For security reasons, previously entered Reset Password questions and answers are discarded when passwords are changed.

 

What if I do not have a Social Security Number?

Answer:

Please call Shareholder Services at (800) 858-8850, option 5.
