A 403(b)(7) is a retirement plan for employees of a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization seeking to save for retirement through pre-tax payroll deductions.

Eligibility Requirements

All employees of a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization may be eligible to contribute. Employee eligibility may be designated by the employer.

Establishment and Funding

Salary deferral contributions must be made to the plan by January 30th of the following year. Contributions can vary by year. Minimum initial contribution is $250 per fund.

Employee Contribution Limits

An individual may contribute up to $18,000 ($24,000 if age 50 or older).

Employer Contribution Limits

An employer is not eligible to make a matching contribution to this plan.
